rough cut

there is still so much to do, we need to mix everything up, add more lip syncing and green screen footage. and cut up the other footage and add motion to create a layered screen.

making the rough cut

today we are trying to make our rough cut for our music video, we have uploaded some green screen for the chorus and we shall just add some more tomorrow so that we can incorporate it into our video effectively.
we found that we just had to make a rough cut for a small section of our film as we have a lot of film to put on the green screen and it would be easier to do that with more edititing time. after our doubts last weekend we have gained a more positive view which is making us all feeling happier and the extra editing sessions that wr have put in out side of lessons have helped a great deal...

there is all some unfinished parts on the video of which we have not done as we thought that we could still film but as that is not apparent we shall have to make do with out some of the greens screening that we wanted or even beg and plead to be allowed a small part of a lesson to film some green screen.

12th of october rough deadline

Last week we filmed a lot in the green and dark room, using glow sticks. because we were unable to film what we orginenally wanted, our views and ideas for our music hve consantly changed.
When we filmed in the dark room we used glow sticks hoping to record the light trails that they lead, this was very sucessful. However during this filming session we found that we could spray the glow sticks onto plain white t-shirts. This gave us ideas for the next shoot.
We uploaded these blackroom shots and started putting effecs onto them. We edited the colors and made them brighter. We also speeedup all the shots by 300 to 400 percentent. We cut them all up and played them all in different orders to create and exciting crazy video.
We filmed the next day on top of the cherry hinton hill over looking cambridge. It was a great place to fim in the car because it was quiet and was easy to reach as well as having acess to LARGE STEEP GRASS HILL THAT WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF FOR FILMING, AS WELL as having h lights of cambridge shinning through the backround.
Through out this fili9mg we have always connected the filiming with the programme Skins! It is very familar to it.

We then went to the green room to fim some lip sinking which is where we got the idea of using the green room a lot more and cutting the shots we have already filmed and cutting them down and moving them to different parts of the screen. we would then use the green screen and the editing to makeit look like we are holding the shots up s pictures. Sounds weird but you will see in the end!!!!!

Becuase we have been short on time and we havent filmed enough footage or variety, we have been making the bet of what we ave got. Becky has been edited the colors on every frame and making it crazy.

Today was th deadline for the rough cut finish however because not ll the class are ready and our teacher wasnt here we have another day to make the dead line. x

5th octobr what we did

Today we edited ever one of the funky fun house scenes, we will not be shoting thereany more. As payment of filming at the fun house, e were asked to read ghoss stroies to the young children as part of a halloween special.
We put a certain setting on them all nd then varried them as we saw them.
We distorted them and eited the color balance on them all. We cut them up and deleted the audio. We then made them all short and kept all the scenes that we thought would look good.
When we have collected and edited all the shots of the next weeks filming we can then start to add them to the music and start creating the final video.

Plans for next week

Today we finished filming in the funky fun house and are reasonably pleased with the footage we have...

Over a coffee we have decided that next we will try and finish our filming;
On monday we will be;

Filming our glow stick 'rave' in the black room on site.

And in the evening filming a 'rave' in becky's car, we're planning to do this just out of cherry hinton over looking cambridge as this will make for some good shots. We will film this at about 6.30 or 7 at dusk, then again when it is completely dark to get the city lights in the background.

On tuesday we will be;

Filming in the green room for the chorus' of the song and close up's.

Filming in the street for our parade style footage.
